It’s been a while since we have heard much from Amy Childs here at Lipstick, but finally we have a new in from the original Essex babe…. and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. Perfect for summer it’s the Lola dress in pretty but fiery Coral. We think this dress is a great addition to your wardrobe for summer. Get your summer tan on and get your shoulders out in this halter neck dress. The all over lace look will show off that summer figure too.

Amy Childs knows how to do a classic TOWIE look and never fails to bring you the best in glamor and sophistication. As well as the new Coral dress we still have our favourites from Amy. Another great one for summer is the Eloise dress. Monochromes are very hot at the moment and with the Eloise dress you will be so on trend. The clever silhouetting will make your figure look amazing as well. Oh we do love a timeless Amy Childs Dresses.

New to Lipstick Boutique is our Statement Jewellery. A favourite with the TOWIE stars Jessica Wright and Lucy Mecklenburg. We also love Made in Chelsea’s Rosie Fortescue’s look at the moment. That bright outfit looks so good on her. Ideal style for summer, this is an easy way to add a splash of colour to any outfit. If you want to dress something up then you need some statement jewellery. These three girls have gone for a statement necklace on the block colour outfit. Jessica Wright’s necklace has a touch of bight colour mixed with some cool pastel colours. She has worn it against a pale pink maxi and is looking like a summer goddess. We recommend our statement necklace with cool pastel colours to get the look:

Look of the Week

My look for this week is the ‘Maya’ Top and the ‘Anna’ Skirt from the Jessica Wright collection. This outfit tickets so many fashion boxes.
Monochrome is so on trend for spring/ summer, as are stripes and cut out detail. The number one fashion rule is boobs or legs out – not both together, and sometimes we girls forget that. This outfit will make head turns for the right reasons – not because you look like mutton dressed as lamb. The outfit is also great because you can mix and match the skirt and top and create other looks by teaming it with other pieces.
I would accessorise with a great pair of black peep toes, and a bright coloured bag to make the outfit pop.

‘Anna’ skirt £35.00, ‘Maya’ Top £28.00,

Leather clutch bag

With summer approaching, this hair style is great. It’s easy to create, and is always a good style when you’ve missed your alarm.
To create the bed head/summer wave look, you just need some hair straighteners and some salt spray.
The best way to do this is wash your hair and then spritz some salt spray over the roots to give it some oomph.
Let it dry naturally wherever possible as this will help your hair become a bit more matte.
When dry, twist your hair into sections and run the straighteners over them. Release your hair and just run your fingers through it and voila – Kate Hudson eat your heart out!

I took a mini break to Paris this weekend, and it was AH-MAZING. The French accent just makes me weak at the knees. I woke up ridiculously early on the Saturday and decided to check out the hotel gym as I am still trying to shift the pounds for Bridesmaid duties.
After a brief chit chat with the gorgeous gym manager and a tour around the machines, I got my bum into gear and got on the running machine. A guy next to me, decided to make conversation and attempted to teach me French while he was running with no top on (which I loved, by the way).
After I’d finished my work out Pierre (hot French guy) said he might see me later in the bar. I replied, ‘Oui Oui Pierre’ whilst walking backwards to the exit, where I then proceeded to turn around and walk very fast into a glass panel – much to the amusement of him and every other person in the gym. The worst part about it is that I couldn’t understand what they were saying after I had done it. Note to self; learn French and don’t walk into glass doors!

Hi Girls,
I don’t know about you but I’m already crossing the days off till the next bank holiday. It’s so frightening that it’s already April….but ever SO exciting that summer is just around the corner – Yay.
With that in mind, there are some fab dresses that have been added to the Lipstick boutique, including my look of the week below.
REMEMBER – if you are wearing your Lipstick number TWEET us a pic  @Lipstick_UK and we will RT our faves. You might even get a little Lipstick treat!

Look of the Week

My look for the week is the ‘Lucy’ in Colbat blue from the Jessica Wright collection. The material of this dress hugs any waist in the right place and the glittery shade of blue will make any girls teeth and eyes dazzle bright!! Now I know what you’re probably thinking about my choice of earrings ( – Gorgeous!

Worn with this dress, and a side bun the earrings compliment the look and will look so elegant.
Keep the dress and earrings your statement pieces and keep shoes and bag simple or it will cheapen the look.

‘Lucy’ Colbat Blue dress £55.00,

Oval crystal earrings £29.95,

The only way is up – HAIR that is.
We’ve all woken up from a late night before, hit the snooze button five times and dread to think how we will fix our bed hair with 10 minutes to get ready.  You need three tools to win the battle; dry shampoo, a backcomb brush and a doughnut ring. It’s so easy and quick to do, that I actually timed myself for this week’s blog, and it took four minutes!!
1.    Firstly spritz your roots with Batiste dry shampoo and massage into hair.

2.    Next, section your hair and back comb all hair. This will create volume and give you a big bun of hair that distracts from your oily roots. Kent Brushes do a great range of professional brushes at an affordable cost. I use this one to backcomb my do.

3.    Pull back hair and tie into a high pony tail. Then wrap the doughnut ring around the hair and shape into place. Fix with hair grips and a spritz of hairspray and you are good to go girls.
This look is great as you can make the bun look as messy or elegant as you wish. I’ve recommended a bun for my Look of the week so you have no excuse to look anything other than fabulous!!!

I spent my weekend shopping to my heart’s desire buying all of my holiday essentials. I made an effort for the trip, and wore a new pair of skinny jeans and even had a blow dry done before hand. Looking like a poor man’s Tamara Ecclestone I shopped around, and without sounding big headed felt that people were looking at me.
The shopping centre I visited is one of the biggest in the UK, so you can imagine how many people I must have passed on my travels. Three hours in and people still kept looking. This is great I thought, it must be the bouncy curls, or maybe my new jeans?
I decided to take a wander into Kurt Geiger to pine over more shoes I couldn’t afford. A sales assistant was now staring at me, and asking if I was ok and if I needed any help. I declined her help and carried on browsing but she still kept staring.
Did she think I was somebody else? I had to ask at this point as she just wouldn’t stop. So like a terrier I asked her ‘Is there a reason you keep staring at me, do I look like somebody you know?’
‘No Madam, you have blue ink all over your face. I think it’s from you jeans. I thought you knew.’
Absolutely fantastic!

Track of the Week

Paramore are back, and with a sound similar to No Doubt in the 90’s and I LOVE it. Their new album is definitely going to shock fans. I highly recommend it for rocking out in the show!

Hi Ladies,
How are we all, hope you all thoroughly enjoyed the bank holiday weekend!
Despite being in my twenties, the ‘Easter Bunny’ (my mum) spoilt me with a few chocolate treats. I love nothing more than a bit of guilt free chocolate. I’ve also dusted my dancing heels off for a few nights out catching up with old friends – wearing Lipstick, of course! X
If you were out over the Easter weekend , wearing your Lipstick number tweet us a pic  @Lipstick_UK and we will RT our faves!

Look of the Week

My look this week is the ‘Olivia’ dress from the Jessica Wright collection.
Coral is usually a colour associated with a tan but, this colour looks great on all skin tones even pasty ones like mine.
With Easter this weekend, I feel now is the time to give the summer wardrobe a trial run. This dress also comes in Navy, but the coral is best for the WOW factor.
The cut of the dress hides knobbly knees and the lace sexes the dress up – in more of a classy Kate Middleton style than Kat Slater.
The trick to pulling this dress off is keeping shoes and bag simple, like Jess has done in this picture.
Wear with a nude -court or peep toe shoe, and a nude bag to ensure all eyes are on the dress and not distracted. Keep jewellery simple and understated, and make up wise I would do a smokey eye with a shimmer gloss.
Use my ‘Big Hair’ tips from my previous blog, and people will think Cheryl Cole has arrived!

I am guilty of one beauty related problem.  I am a self-confessed perfume hoarder!
The problem is…I have expensive taste and beer money because I spend far too much on pretty dresses.  My high end favourites include ‘Lola’ by Marc Jacobs, ‘Mademoiselle’ by Chanel and ‘Alien’ by Thierry Mugler but I usually have to pray I’ll get them for Birthdays and Christmas or by a rich admirer (I can wish).
It’s really hard to find good, purse friendly alternatives that don’t smell like cat urine. These are my top three and I’ve trialled them on nights out and each time I have worn them, people have commented on how divine they smell.

In the words of Lucy Spraggan the weekend left me with ‘Beer Fear’.
I ended up in a few bars after a cosy Italian meal with a friend and somehow I thought it would be a great idea to go to a club. It’s the type of place that you end up, in a drunken haze and convince yourself you will have a great time, but in reality would make you projectile vomit.
I’m sure all of you girls can sympathise about that feeling you get when you bump into an ex-boyfriend.  Fear and nauseous washed over me, and my first thought was to head straight to the bar and get mortal. Despite my attempts to hide in the club, we eventually ran into each other and before you know it start talking about the old times and part of me really thought that maybe he was being genuine, and maybe he had changed and had grown up.

I popped to the ladies to freshen up and came back to discover he’d disappeared. Strange I thought, after everything he had said. I put it to the back of my mind and headed to the dance floor.
Drink in hand I strutted my best Beyoncé moves, and jokingly spun round to Crazy in Love, to discover John* in the corner with some blonde. Part anger, and part Pinot Grigio made me march up to him, and throw my drink over him. Upset, humiliated and very drunk, I got fireman carried in true Geordie Shore style into the nearest taxi home by my friend.
So Lipstick ladies this is my advice to you. When you bump into an ex, don’t head to the bar and get drunk, stick to lemonade, and make sure you are wearing your best Lipstick dress to show them what they have lost, and ALWAYS listen to your best friend when she says ‘Don’t even go there.’
Ex’s should definitely stay in the past (unless they are Ryan Gosling). My experience this weekend has made me learn that the hard way!
